Eating in silence is also a good way to appreciate every part of your meal. It cuts down on your stress, lets you unwind from a long day and ensures that you are cherishing every meal. You will also eat less if you focus on eating good food and being full – instead of continuing to eat for as long as your tv show or movie lasts!

2. Add Fermented Foods to Meals

There are so many delicious fermented foods that you can add to your diet. These foods, such as sauerkraut, kimchi and natural pickles will help you in a big way. Avoid the processed items that have a lot of preservatives. Always go for pickles and other fermented foods that are in the natural isle of your grocery store.

These foods have a lot of probiotics, which help the positive bacteria in you gut. If you are adding even a couple of these foods to your diet each day, you will start to notice that you are having a much easier time with digestion and passing stool.

3. Avoid Inflammatory Foods

Inflammation is not good for your body. Inflammation is at the root of most diseases and illnesses. There are some foods that will add to your inflammatory problems, such as gluten, alcohol, refined sugars, overly processed foods and certain grains.

If you care about your body, think about the foods that cause you to have a bad reaction. You may be overly sensitive to these foods. Take them out of your diet. Avoid the others as much as you can.

Making these changes does not mean you have to give up the foods you love forever. It just means you should have less of them and more of the healthy items that boost your gut and overall health!
